After washing the furniture, keep it in the sun for straight two weeks. At last, spray the washed teak furniture with teak sealant. Teak sealant will preserve the original color of the teak wood.

3) At times, stains on the wood are too deep to be cleaned with a mild soap solution. In such a case, you need to use coarse sandpaper. After that, use fine-grain sandpaper to leave a smooth finish. If you can't do teak wood maintenance all by yourself, go for a reputed company.

What does Chic Teak say About Teak Wood Maintenance?

Your Chic Teak furniture is available with a hand-rubbed wax finish or unwaxed with a finely sanded finish.

When used indoors or undercover outdoors, simply clean it and apply some furniture wax every couple of months, and your furniture will look brand new again.

When used outside, the wax coat will fade in a few weeks, depending on the environment.

Following a rain shower, there may appear to be some watermarks or "dry" spots. This is the point at which the wax starts to flake off. To expedite the process, simply remove the wax with hot soapy water.

Teak wood, like any other wood, is susceptible to mildew growth, especially when exposed to high humidity for an extended period of time and/or frequent rainfall. Simply clean it with soapy water or a teak cleaner, such as SEMCO brand 2-part teak cleaner, if this occurs.

After a few months, the teak will begin to turn a silvery grey. To keep your furniture looking good, simply clean it with soapy water at least twice a year, or as needed.

If you want to keep the natural teak color, Semco teak care and sealer products are recommended.
